Pamula Taylor, 44, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio, after an illness of 13 years. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on August 1, 1968, a daughter of William C. & Esteline (Doyle) Hurst. Pam was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Port Clinton. She worked for K-Mart in Fremont, and for many years at McDonald's on Catawba Island. A lover of animals, Pam was especially fond of her dogs. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and was known for her special sense of humor. On April 17, 1992, Pam married Gary E. Taylor, and he survives. Also surviving is her mother, Esteline Hurst, Woodville, Ohio; sons, James Austin Taylor and Garrison William Taylor, both of Oak Harbor; brother, William Clinton Hurst, III, Galveston, Texas; sisters, Patricia (Dave) Pfeifer, Las Vegas, Nevada, Paulene (Dean) Martin, Oak Harbor, and Susie Kirkendall, Woodville. She was preceded in death by her father, William Clinton Hurst, Jr, and her brother, Dennis Childress. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
