Pamela Seymour Reinert

On October 26, 2024, Pamela Seymour Reinert peacefully completed the earthly portion of her journey at Firelands Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio with family at her side.

Pam was born on April 21, 1945 in Lafayette, Indiana. After getting her nursing degree, she worked as a surgical nurse at hospitals in Michigan and Ohio. The relationships from those years lasted her lifetime.

Those honored with the gift of Pam’s friendship were truly blessed. To have a friend who listens and cares, who is truthful yet positive, who supports and encourages you, is one of life’s great gifts.

She loved boating and Put-in-Bay and living near the lake, winters by the ocean in Florida, lunches with friends, Michigan football and Purdue basketball, and all God’s creatures. She was always well-read and well-informed, a news junkie in the best sense.

Pam married Thomas Reinert on July 3, 1986 and he survives. Pam and Tom rescued many dogs and cats over the years, giving them a loving home. Luke the dog and Teddy the cat were at Pam’s side throughout her illness.

Pam is also survived by her sister Julie (Chris) Mizer, brother Richard Seymour and sister-in-law: Ellen Petersen.

There will be a private burial at Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held May 17, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Pam and Tom's home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
