Pamela M. Graver-Koenig, 56, of Elmore, Ohio, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on March 16, 1955, a daughter of Howard & Virginia (Greene) Graver. Pam was a 1973 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School, attended Owens Community College, and was a graduate of the University of Toledo. She was a Title 1 teacher for Toledo Public Schools, teaching reading and math at several schools, most recently Gesu School. Pam was president of the Woodmore Soccer League and was formerly a track and cross country coach at Rossford Schools. She currently was a Middle School track and cross country coach for Woodmore Schools. An avid runner, Pam was a recipient of the Sy Mah award and was a member of the Toledo Roadrunners, Team Toledo Triathlon Club, and Dave's Racing Team. She served as the race director of the Toledo Marathon for several years and competed in many marathons, including the Boston Marathon. In the Las Vegas Marathon, Pam broke 3 hours, which is noteworthy for a female runner. Pam was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. On October 18, 1997, she married Brian Koenig, and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Elizabeth, and son Paul, both of Elmore, her step-son, John, of Fremont, Ohio; her brothers, James (Joanie) Graver, Toledo, William (Mowry) Graver, Zanesfield, Ohio, Robert Graver, Jacksonville, Florida, and Jerry (Louann) Graver, Perrysburg, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where friends may call after 9 A.M. Saturday. The Rev. David L. Ritchie will officiate, and interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation; Solomon Lutheran School; Gesu School; Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, or the Woodmore High School and Middle School Cross Country program.
