Orville D. Flick

Orville D. Flick, 77, of Elmore, OH passed away Monday evening, December 11, 2006 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH following a lengthy illness. He was born March 30, 1929 in Toledo, OH to the late Orville A. and Mary (Kavich) Flick. On December 15, 1951 he married Rita Wendt of Elmore and she survives. Mr. Flick owned and operated his own business as a Plasterer for 15 years before retiring in 1985 from Jones Transfer, which was located in Toledo, as a truck driver. He was an Army Veteran serving in the 37th Tank Division located in Port Clinton, OH during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, and a 50 year member of American Legion Post 279, Elmore. Survivors include his wife Rita of Elmore, son Don (Carol) Flick of Elmore, daughters; LuAnne Juergens of Elmore, and Lori (Carl) Behrens of Toledo, Brothers; Richard Flick of Millbury, OH, Eugene and Gerald Flick both of Toledo, grandchildren: Jason and Angela Juergens, Andy and Brad Flick, Katie and Christian Behrens, and Great- grandchild Zane Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents and son- in- law Danny Juergens. Friends may call Thursday from 2-9pm with the family present from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Friday, December 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be given by American Legion Post 279, Elmore.
