Opal M. Chance

Opal M. Chance, 82, of Port Clinton died Monday, September 24, 2012 at University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born October 24, 1929 in Malvern, AK the daughter of the late James and Lacie (Cooper) Jones. She married William Chance and he preceded her in death in 1980. Opal Chance was known to the community as a loving kind hearted lady who was willing to help anyone in any way that she could. Surviving are her children: Oretta (Arthur) Smith of Port Clinton, Todd (Gerlene) Chance of Fremont, Nellie (Larry) Lee of Port Clinton, Lorraine Lee of Phoenix, AZ, Gary (Brenda) Chance of Cincinnati, OH; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters and a host of friends and well wishers. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
