Onie Mae Dennis

Onie Mae Dennis, 82, of Port Clinton, OH died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. She was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Mississippi, the daughter of the late Curtis and Sylvia (Durr) McNair. She married Jesse Dennis in 1986 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She previously was married to Lee Horne and Lee Mason. Mrs. Dennis was a homemaker and a member of the former Gypsum Tabernacle. Surviving are her sons: Cliffton (Sandra) McNair of Sandusky, Lee (Sarah) Horne of Port Clinton; daughters: Gwen Empson of Delaware, Sandra Rivers of Philadelphia, Sylvia (Melvin) Cox of Port Clinton, Elizabeth Matthews of Goose Creek, SC, Felicia Horne of Port Clinton, Vivian Horne of Toledo; step-daughters: Priscilla Dafir of Fayetteville, NY, Jackie Lockhart of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and sister: Effie Horn of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Horne. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
