Norman A. "Tiger" Glovinsky, 83, of Marblehead, OH died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community. He was born November 19, 1932 in Marblehead, OH the son of Anthony and Martha (Yuhas) Glovinsky. Norman worked for 40 years for Lafarge at the Standard Slag Quarry. He also worked for 10 years at Celotex. He was a lifelong member of Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Marblehead. He was recognized by the church many times for his dedication. Surviving are his brother: William (Jean) Glovinsky of Port Clinton; close personal friend and neighbor Carol Engel and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Ann Glovinsky, Pauline Gresh, Marian Glovinsky, Ruth Benya; brothers: James Glovinsky, Joseph Glovinsky, Paul "Chopson" Glovinsky and George Glovinsky. Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2:00 7:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where Panachida services will be conducted at 7:00 pm. Following the Panachida services Norman's body will be moved to Holy Assumption Orthodox Church where it will lie in repose until Tuesday morning when the Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 10:00 am with Father David Lis officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Assumption Orthodox Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Danbury Township Fire Department.
