Norma Jean Zimmerman

Norma Jean Zimmerman, 74 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by her children. She was born December 20, 1941 in Toledo, OH and raised by Frederick and Ida (Base) Beyer. She was a 1960 graduate of Salem- Oak Harbor High School. She did office work and inside sales for AIM Packaging where she retired in 2005. Following her retirement, she managed the Island House Restaurant and Hotel. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her children: Michael (Lisa) Zimmerman of Howell, MI, Jodi (Steven) Zbierajewski of Oak Harbor, Catherine (Garry) Bowman of Oak Harbor, and Christine (Ronald) Helle of Malta, OH; 12 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren; brothers: Robert, Richard, and Norman Caris; sisters Sharon Weidinger and Judy Parrott. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Ida Beyer and her biological parents Norman and Eleanor Caris, infant twin brothers Ronald and Donald Caris, and great- grandson Owen Sigurdson. The family will receive friends from noon until 7pm Sunday, December 4 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oak Harbor Chapel. A Memorial Service will begin at 7pm promptly following visitation on Sunday evening. Burial will be Private in Elliston Cemetery.
