Norma J. Hess

Norma J. Hess, 65, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. Norma was born November 8, 1957 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Willard “Bill” Barnette, Sr. and Beulah (Booker) Robbins. She married Luther Havens who preceded her in death on July 24, 1982 and was later remarried to Edgar “Terry” Hess and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2017. Norma was a representative for Home Interiors and had a passion for interior decorating. She enjoyed playing poker games around the table with her family, she was an avid wrestling fan, and loved shark week and true crime TV shows. Norma enjoyed exploring yard sales and thrift stores for unique finds. She was humorous and had a one-of-a kind laugh that would get the whole room laughing. Norma was the kind of person that put her family first and she made sure they were taken care of before herself. Surviving is her mother, Beulah, her daughter, Theresa (David) Branham, her sisters, Doris Holmes, Beverley Havens, Rachel Sparks, Becky Harris, and Marcella Mowel; brother, Bill Barnette, Jr.; grandchildren, Raven, Kai, and Jade, as well as numerous adored nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father Bill, step-father James Robbins, and her sisters, Marcia St. Marie, Margaret “Marg” Barnette, and Sandra “Sue” Fleenor. Visitation will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio from 3:00 pm until funeral services at 5:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
