Norine E. Krumnow, 78, of Genoa, OH, died Saturday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on February 26, 1939, a daughter of the late Orville A. & Orla V. (Klink) Taylor. Norine was a 1957 graduate of Port Clinton High School and was a member of Bethel United Brethren Church, Elmore, OH. Norine was a legal secretary for the law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Toledo for many years, and previously was a secretary for several other firms. She enjoyed Indy car racing, and shopping for and collecting antiques. A well-known "chocoholic", she was also known for her quick wit and love of watching "Jeopardy". Norine enjoyed keeping in touch with her 83 penpals from all over the world, and was especially devoted to her grandson, Liam. She is survived by her children, Bruce Krumnow of Genoa, and Kim Krumnow of Elmore; her grandson, Liam Krumnow-McGuire of Elmore; sisters, Nancy Sessler, Castalia, OH, Norma Crowder of Florida, and Narda Wilburn, Oak Harbor, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Finney. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, Elmore, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Bethel United Brethren Church, 2920 South State Route 590, Elmore, with Pastor Tim Sherman officiating. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH or American Forests, a nonprofit conservation organization that plants trees in national forests.
