Nolberto "Beto" Laurel

Nolberto "Beto" Laurel, 75, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, January 31, 2013 with his family by his side, at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1937 in Oilton, Texas, the son of the late Alfredo and Petra (Vasquez) Laurel. On January 3, 1973 he married Kathleen Hensley and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Army and also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. He was a very simple man who was always fixing things with his old tools. His hobbies included playing bingo but most importantly, spending time with his grandchidren and children, who he loved very much. Survivors include his sons: Michael Hensley, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Nolberto A. (Levoria) Laurel, of Port Clinton; daughter: Betty (Eberardo) Villarruel, of Inkster, Michigan; grandchildren: Diante, Cal, Delayna, and Carli Laurel; and Christian, Sevastian, and Lourdes Villarruel; five sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2-4pm and from 6pm until services at 7pm with Douglas Sharpey officiating.
