Nicholas P. Menier

Nicholas Menier, 77, of Marblehead, OH died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born August 15, 1935 the son of Frank and Rose (Raffaele) Menier. He married Barbara Davis on Jan 6, 1962 and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1986. Mr. Menier was a co-owner of Lakeview Bait Store, he owned Lakeview Distributing and he worked for the State of Ohio BMV as an examiner 3 from 1978 until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead; Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree St. Joseph Council, Marblehead, 4th Degree DeSoto Assembly Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his children: Christopher (Wendy) Menier, James (Cari) Menier and Lisa (Joseph) Kopp all of Marblehead; grandchildren: Dylan and Haley Menier and Sarah Kopp. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers: James, Frank, John, Vito and Ralph Menier; sisters: Angela Tomaselli and Mary Kinney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dan Ring at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, where visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 10:00 am. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lakeside or Marblehead Volunteer Fire Department.
