Naomi J. Wirebaugh, 86 of Elmore, OH died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at her home. She was born September 6, 1924 in Wallace, WV to the late Dewey and Lizzy (Dye) Smith. She was a 1942 graduate of Fostoria High School. On May 30, 1947 she married Louis E. Wirebaugh who preceded her in death May 12, 2006. Naomi worked as a secretary for Brush- Wellman and a few other places prior to becoming a homemaker and most recently she volunteered her time working at the gift shop in St. Charles Mercy Hospital for over 15 years. She was active in Ottawa County Habitat for Humanity serving as past president, and the Ottawa County Republican Party Women's Club. Survivors include her son D. Robert (Sandra) Wirebaugh of Oak Harbor; daughters: Karen S. O'Brien of Bradner, OH and Cyndi (Fritz) Parman of Elmore; 15 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren; brother Carroll (Georgia) Smith of San Jaun Capistrano, CA; and sister- in- law Betty Smith of Fostoria, OH. Her parents, husband, brother Dewey Smith Jr., sister Eunice Hamilton, and one granddaughter preceded her in death. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8pm and again Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. William L. Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to Ottawa County Habitat for Humanity or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserfuneralhome.com.
