Nancy Nelson

Nancy Nelson, age 80, died peacefully Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania Ohio. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Port Clinton Ohio, the daughter of the late Marvin Nelson and Mary Jane (Kohler) Nelson.

Nancy was a graduate of Port Clinton High School, Class of 1961. She then attended the Sandusky College of Cosmetology, graduating and receiving her cosmetology license in 1963. Nancy owned a beauty shop in Port Clinton called the Clip and Curl on Adams Street. She also worked for others in the beauty business over a 25-year period. She held numerous other jobs including working at Magruder Hospital for eight years in the dietary department, and working at Little Caesars for five years, becoming a manager. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Parish. Her hobbies included baking, decorating wedding cakes, knitting, crocheting and collecting dolls of all kinds.

Nancy will be missed by her cousins and their families. Nancy's family would like to thank Nancy's neighbors who extended the gift of friendship and assistance to Nancy over the years. Services will be held at the Niedecker Crosser and Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, Ohio on Saturday, July 1, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am. Interment at the Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton will be private. Nancy requested that any memorials be made to the Port Clinton Fire Department or charity of the donor's choice.
