Nancy Kristensen Gentles, 71, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born on July 27, 1944 in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Kynoch) Gentles. Nancy was the owner/operator of Sun City Tanning and Harbor Point Gift Shop in Marblehead, and also helped her daughter Sonja at AJ's Pizza in Marblehead. She was a member of Firelands Presbyterian Church, Port Clinton. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star, member and chaplain of the Daughters of Scotia; and co-founder of the World Wide Shop in Port Clinton. Survivors include her daughter: Sonja Kristensen, Marblehead; son: David Kristensen, Florida; and brother: Peter Gentles, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents. She will be remembered as the best Mom to Sonja and David. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10am until funeral services at 11am at Firelands Presbyterian Church, 2626 E. Harbor Road, Port Clinton, with Pastor Mark Cooper and Pastor Emeritus Robert Butcher officiating. Burial will follow at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
