Nancy B. Renz

Nancy B. Renz, 75, of Long Beach, Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at her home. She was born on April 19, 1936 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Joseph & Genevieve (Zygula) Diamond. On February 27, 1954, she married Lowell P. "Bing" Renz, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2009. Nancy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, and was a manager at Macys Department Store. For many years she operated Nancy's Home Base, a baseball card shop in Oak Harbor. Nancy had many talents and loved playing bingo, crocheting, and knitting. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nancy is survived by sons, Lowell Renz, Jr., Toledo, and William Renz, Oak Harbor; daughters, Charmaine (Frank) Wiench, Toledo, Renee (Charles) Kolebuck, Toledo, Audrey (Steve) Axe, Oak Harbor, Ramona (Charles) Gardner, Fremont, Ohio, and Nadine (Ken) Whited, Texas; several grandchildren; sister, Dolores Kanthak, Dayton, Ohio; brother, Joseph (Debbie) Diamond, Jr., Northwood, Ohio; and a half sister, Frances Woodman, Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter-in-law, Brenda K. Renz, and half brother, Frank Zygula. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. David L. Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township.
