Nancy A. Sprague, 68 of Oak Harbor, OH died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the home of her daughter under Hospice Care. She was born July 16, 1955 in Oak Harbor, OH to the late Harold Floro and Donna Mae (Fastinger) Holmes. She was a 1973 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and Penta Vocational School. In addition, she graduated from Terra Community College with her associates degree in business, an achievement she was always very proud of. Nancy worked for the Coffee Express, WSOS, Lowe’s and retired from Port Clinton Glass in 2017.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was extremely proud of all of them and their accomplishments, always interested in everything they were doing. She was a do it yourselfer as she loved tackling many projects wanting to get it done, including updating or improving her home and property. This was an inherited trait and something she passed on to her children. Her greatest hobby and passion was stained glass and sharing it with many others.
She spent a lot of her free time creating and restoring stained glass pieces. Her signature piece was
her kaleidoscope. Lastly, she loved talking on the phone, most notably to cousin Gail. As many are aware, she was always up for a conversation, especially with family.
Survivors include her children: Gabriel (Julie) Sprague of Genoa, OH, Joel (Heather) Sprague of Lindsey, OH, and Alyssa (Eric) Kouts of Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren: Gracie & Lyla Sprague, Harper Kouts, and Lyndon Sprague; brother Donald (Stacy) Floro of Oak Harbor. She was also preceded in death by her brother James “Flim Flam” Floro and sister-in-law Sandra
Dee Floro.
