Myrth Rauch

Myrth Rauch, 85, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born in Elmore, Ohio, on April 20, 1924, a daughter of Horatio & Maude (Hasselkus) Anstead. Mrs. Rauch was a homemaker, a farm wife, and was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. She enjoyed collecting antiques, and was an avid supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes. On December 24, 1942, Myrth married Myron "Mike" Rauch, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2006. She is survived by her son, William (Lisa) Rauch, Oak Harbor; daughter, Julie (Larry) Petrasek, Canal Fulton, Ohio; brother, Melvin Anstead, Elmore, Ohio; sister, Eileen Rothert, Elmore, Ohio; grandchildren, Bryan Rauch, Holli (Josh) Goetz, Heidi (Todd) Hecht, Katie Rauch, and Suzanne Petrasek; and her great-granddaughter, Karly Goetz. Myrth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Raymond Anstead. Private funeral services will be held for the family at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with the Rev. David J. Tinker officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, or Stein Hospice.
