Myron L Schultz passed away August 28, 2016 in Stein Hospice Care Center surrounded by his family. Myron (Mike) was born January 26, 1937 in Oak Harbor, Ohio to Edward and Josephine (Hess) Schultz. He graduated from Salem Oak Harbor High School in 1955. He met Nancy (Harris) in 1956 and the loving couple were married January 18, 1958. Nancy preceded him in death April 22, 2015. Born on his family's farm alongside the Toussaint River, he grew up helping work on the farm and found his talent and joy was working with his hands and woodworking. Later, he was able to turn his talents into a nearly 20 year career with Matthews Boat Company building luxury wooden and fiberglass yachts. His final working years were with Shoreline Properties. Mike loved being outside and especially being on the water. He was known for his woodworking abilities, his love of fishing, camping with friends and family and his ability to fix just about anything with the vast amount of tools he acquired over the years. Above all else, he cherished his family and the memories he was able to make with them. Survivors include his children: Michael (Cindy Lou) Schultz of Decatur Michigan, Richard (Christine Johnston) Schultz of Port Clinton, and Laurie Schultz also of Port Clinton. Grandchildren Ashley (Adam) Caskie of Port Richey Florida, Matthew Schultz of Decatur Michigan, and Brandon Payne of Port Clinton as well as his great grandchildren, Addyson and Aiden Caskie. His sister, Marjorie Zunk and sisters in law Mary Schultz and Ellen Isley, along with cherished nieces and nephews also survive. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marie (Schultz) Goetz and brother Glenn A. Schultz, and brothers in law Arthur Goetz, Ralph Zunk, and Larry Isley. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, September 1, 2016 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church 122 W. Ottawa St. Oak Harbor, OH with Rev. David A. Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH 43452. The family is forever grateful of the excellent care and compassion provided by Dr. Steven Jackson and his staff. His final days were spent with support and excellent services provided by Stein Hospice Care Center.
