Myron C. Johnson of Lakeside went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 8, 2010 at the Blakely Care Center of Bowling Green. He was born September 3, 1920 in Lakeside, the son of Charles S. and Bessie Mae (Cowell) Johnson. On August 3, 1946, he married Mildred (Bures) and she preceded him in death on March 30, 2004. Myron was employed by the Barr Rubber Company and the Standard Products Company. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard during WWII and was a life member of the VFW Post 7572 of Marblehead and a member of the Chapel on the Lake. Myron loved the Lord, who gave him his ideas and talent as a gifted carpenter-furniture maker, much of which was given to family and friends. He made friends with whomever he was with, no matter where he was. Surviving are his daughters Marie (Michael) Molnar of Oregon and Laurie (Bob) Kuehner of Bowling Green; sons Charles (Shirley) of Camp Verde, AZ and Raymond (Kris) of Beaver, PA; eight grandchildren; and a sister Sara Muchay of Virginia. In addition to his wife, Myron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Melvin F. Johnson. Friends may call from 3 7 pm Wednesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 East Harbor Road, Marblehead where funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday. The Rev. Brad Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapel on the Lake.
