Myra K. Baker

Myra Kathryn (Condon) Baker, 89 of Marblehead, OH and formerly of Dayton, OH died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Continuing Healthcare of Milan, Milan, OH under Hospice Care. She was born June 3, 1930 in West Manchester, OH to the late Charles R. and Esther (Petry) Condon. She was a 1948 graduate of Monroe High School in Preble County. on August 8, 1948 she married Irvin Baker Jr who preceded her in death February 14, 2016. Myra worked some time at the Ida Rupp Library in Port Clinton on the Bookmobile. Then at Head Start and finally the Laundromat, Hotel desk clerk and secretary for the Lakeside Association in Lakeside, OH - a Methodist Chautaugua. She was a member of the Bible Methodist Church, Port Clinton. In retrospect, the family wasn't very successful but never went to bed hungry. Their children were born healthy and had a good life with much to be thankful for. Survivors include her children: Stephen B. Baker of Colorado, Jennifer Davis of Dayton, OH, and Janet Hughes of Sandusky, OH; 10 grandchildren; and many great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son Wayne E. Baker, daughter-in-law Christy Baker, son-in-law John Davis, brother Winfield Condon, and granddaughter Sandra Renee Boyer. Funeral Services will begin at 2pm Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Bible Methodist Church.
