Myra I. Flickinger, 90, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center, Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on October 24, 1921 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Cyril and Elsie (Hildebrand) Louder. She married Paul Flickinger on August 8, 1941 and he survives. Myra was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury Twp, where she served on the Altar Guild, sang in the church choir, and was a member of WELCA- Women of the Church. Along with her husband Paul, she stood at his side throughout his years of construction, helping him with "Flickinger Builders". Her hobbies included going to the casinos, dancing, singing, playing cards, but her passion in life was traveling with Paul, as they traveled to all 50 states except Alaska. Survivors include her husband Paul; daughters: Berdena (Jim) Salem, Pittsburgh, PA; Deborah Flickinger, Toledo, OH; Sheila (Jim) Sachs. Lakeside, OH; grandchildren: James (Tara) Salem, Pittsburgh, PA; Tiffany (Daniel) Paga, Pittsburgh, PA; Heather (John) Klaehn, Marblehead; Jake (Renee) Dress, Marblehead; great grandchildren: Anthony & Isabella Salem, Pittsburgh, PA; Reagan Paga, Pittsburgh, PA; John & Alex Klaehn, Marblehead and Jacob Dress, Marblehead. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Elsie Mae Johnson and Lolita Witmer; and brother: Bob Louder. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, from 10am until Funeral Services at 11am with Pastor Christina L. Young, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospice, Lakeside or Marblehead Volunteer Fire Departments.
