Morgan Lynn Martinez

Morgan Lynn Martinez, 36, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her residence. She was born on August 6, 1981 in Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of John and Julie (Harger) Biggert. On December 13, 2013 she married Daniel Martinez and he survives. Morgan fought a courageous battle with breast cancer with the help and love of family and friends. Morgan was a stay at home Mom and enjoyed raising her children and taking care of her family. She loved hosting holiday get togethers at her house and decorating for the holidays. An avid reader, she enjoyed reading romance novels, Stephen King books, and the bible. She liked being in the outdoors and made various camping trips with her family to Mohican and East Harbor State Park. She also enjoyed listening to all types of music and on-line shopping. Survivors include her husband, Daniel; son, Bryce Hofacker; daughters, Alyssa Martinez, Janelle Martinez, Jillian Hofacker, Alexis Martinez, and Paige Hofacker, all of Sandusky; her parents, John (Lynette) Biggert, Sr., Graytown, Ohio, and Julie (Terry) Ploeger, Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, John (Kelly) Biggert, Jr., Oak Harbor, Ohio; step brothers, Clark Miller, Dayton, Ohio and Curtis (Jamie) Miller, Oak Harbor,Ohio; grandmothers, Carolyn Biggert, Port Clinton and Barbara Harger, Lakeside, Ohio; grandfather, Donald Ploeger, Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces, Erica and Emily Biggert and Cadence Miller; mother in-law, Maria Martinez, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Biggert; uncle, Rob Harger; and grandfathers, Charles Biggert and Ronald Harger. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Friday, January 5, 2018 from noon until services at 3 pm with Pastor Jimmy Comstock officiating.
