Mildred P. Holmes

Mildred P. Holmes, 80, of Marblehead, OH died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 9, 1934 in Falls Gap, TN the daughter of Fonzie and Gracie Mae (McGee) Bishop. She married Harold G. Minton, Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1958. She married Walter N. Holmes, Sr. in 1962 and he survives. Mrs. Holmes worked at the former Deno's Restaurant and the former Standard Products. She was a member of Seed Faith Missions. She was very family oriented and would help anyone. She was the world's best cook and enjoyed canning and gardening. Surviving are her husband: Walter; sons: Allen E. (Kimberly) Minton, Harold G. (Tammy) Minton, Jr., Walter Holmes, Jr., Roy Douglas (Kathy) Holmes all of Marblehead; daughters: Mary (Gary Wayne) Ball, Connie McMurray, Frankie Marie (Philip) Berry, Linda (Steve) Brooks all of Marblehead; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and sister: Madeline "Pud Lundy of Churchill, TN. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Harold G. Minton, Sr., grandchildren: Tammy Minton, Dana Minton Sebastiano; sisters: Nadine Minton, Maxine Wallen, Willivine Wallen. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, October 31, 2014 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside--Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
