Mildred Irene Taylor

Mildred Irene Taylor, 87, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born on March 8, 1926 in Port Clinton, the daughter of the late Leo and Lydia (Ohlinger) Beggs. On November 11, 1944 she married George W. Taylor and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1981. Mildred worked at New Departure in Sandusky, Ohio until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1610 in Port Clinton as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion Post #113 and VFW Post #2480, both in Port Clinton. Her hobbies included playing bingo, listening to country music, dancing, solving crossword puzzles, and being with her family. Survivors include her daughters: Georgia (Jeff) Auxter, Port Clinton; Terry (Bill) Hepp, Sandusky, Ohio and Vicky Taylor, Sandusky, Ohio; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother: David Beggs; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Lydia; husband: George; daughter: Jerry (Terry's twin sister); brother: Harold Beggs; infant sister: Hazel; and sister: Helen Kreager. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10am until Funeral Services at 12pm with Pastor Christina Craig officiating.
