Mildred E. "Milly" Sherman

Mildred E. “Milly” Sherman, 95, of Oak Harbor and formerly of Rochester, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2023 at home. She was born in Massachusetts, the daughter of George and Celia (Gauthier) Maynard. She married Rev. Paul Sherman and he preceded her in death in 2002. Milly worked for Sears in Sandusky and Rochester. Milly was well known for her walk with Jesus as she taught Sunday School, played the piano in church and sang in the choir.

Surviving are her children: Gloria (David) Radsick of Oak Harbor, Barbara Mathis of Rochester, NY, John (Ruth) Sherman of Stagecoach, NV, Nita Valdez of Rochester, NY, Patti (Jay) Welsher of Rochester, NY, Daniel Sherman of Spencerport, NY; grandchildren: Angela (Fred) Petersen, Jodi Radsick, David Radsick, Jr., Brian (DiAnne) Michel, Patrick Mathis, Aubrey (Mikey) Barone, Aaron (Jodie) Sherman, Nicole Sherman, John (Tarrah) Sherman, Paul (Brittany) Sherman, Johnny (Olivia) Valdez, Justin Valdez, Adam Welsher, Danielle (Sharday) Sherman, Keshawn Sherman, Gabriel Sherman, Kiara Sherman, Aiyana Sherman; 30 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Patricia Crooks of Conn; sisters-in-law: Natalie Maynard of Mass and Opal Sherman of Walbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul; son: Leslie Sherman; grandchild: Alicia Sherman; great-grandchild: Chelsey Elmes and brother: Herb Maynard.
