Michael P. "Mikey" Milbrodt

Michael P. Milbrodt, 65 of Graytown, OH passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born September 24, 1952 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Marvin and Elizabeth (Griest) Milbrodt. He was a 1970 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and PENTA Career Center for auto mechanics. On February 5, 1971 he married the former Connie Holman. Mike worked as an auto mechanic for his familys business, Griest Motors, for many years. He drove truck for Lenke Farms then worked for the Benton- Carroll- Salem Schools until his retirement in 2017. He also served as Benton Township Trustee for the past 5 years. He enjoyed range shooting, camping, many building projects and spending time with his family as the "best papa ever" to his grandsons. His life was spent as an avid farmer, working many years with his uncle and son on the family farm. Mike leaves behind many special friends and family members. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Connie; daughter Tera (Chris) Zimmer; son Ty (Ellen) Milbrodt; and grandsons: Grayson and Clase Zimmer. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. A luncheon to celebrate a "Life Well Lived" will follow Services at the Milbrodt Family Farm. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider memorial contributions to establish a scholarship to be made in the name of Mike thru the Oak Harbor FFA for an individual pursuing a career in agriculture.
