Michael L. Favro

Michael L. Favro, 57 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 25, 1958 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Jack and Della (Adkins) Favro. Mike was a 1976 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On December 10, 1976 he married the former LeAnn Young and she survives. Mike retired after 30 years at GM Powertrain, Toledo, OH. Following his retirement, he enjoyed going fishing with his kids on Lake Erie. He was an avid fan of Michigan football, as everyone knows, and truly enjoyed getting together with his large family to watch the games. Mike also enjoyed bowling and a good game of cornhole. He did some deer hunting in Michigan and was able to bring one home just last year. He was also a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. Survivors include his wife LeAnn of Oak Harbor; children: Mike (Elizabeth) Favro Jr. of Oak Harbor, Kevin Favro of Lima, OH, and Farrah Favro of Oak Harbor; brothers: Jack Favro of Oak Harbor, Wilfred Favro of Toledo, OH, Steve (Becky) Favro of Fremont, OH, Randy (Kristy) Favro of Fremont, Jeff Favro of Oak Harbor, and Kenny Favro of Genoa, OH; sisters: Lisa (Dave) Renwand of Oak Harbor, and Julie (Matt) Bodnar of Oak Harbor; several nieces and nephews. Services will begin at 3pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
