Michael J. Braun

Michael J. Braun, 82 of Oak Harbor, OH died unexpectedly Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home. He was born November 24, 1941 in Toledo, OH to the late Joseph A. and Elva I. (Lewis) Braun. He was a graduate of Scott High School, Toledo. On July 9, 1960 he married the former Joyce Engelman, and she survives. Michael retired from Old Castle Glass in Rossford, OH in 2008. He enjoyed fishing gardening, raising chickens, building, but most importantly his family and guiding them.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Joyce of Oak Harbor; children: Michael A. Braun of Oregon, OH, Shelly (Carl) Diefenthaler of Graytown, OH, Bret A. (Gail) Braun of Oak Harbor, and Joseph W. (Lisa) Braun of Lindsey, OH; grandchildren: Corrine Molesky, Chuck Diefenthaler, Caryn Diefenthaler, Bretley Braun Jr., Britney Braun, Joseph Braun, Jonathan Braun, and Libby Braun; great-grandchildren: Chase, Christian, Everly, Nora, Jaxon, Aubrey, and one on the way. He was also preceded in death by his sister Susie Daughtery.

Private Services will be held by the family with interment in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesmanfuneralhome.com.
