Michael Arthur Mazurik

Michael Arthur Mazurik, 57, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1961 in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Lois (Kaufman) Mazurik. He married Darlene Gibson on October 7, 1995 and she survives. Mike worked as a computer analyst and programmer for over 30 years. He recently was employed at Wal Mart in Norwalk. He enjoyed boating, fishing, walking, nature, and he enjoyed working on friends and families computers. He also enjoyed the company of many cats over the years and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a lifelong member of Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Marblehead and sang in the choir. He also served on the parish council and at one point served as president. Survivors include his wife Darlene, Sons Nikolai and Gabriel both of Norwalk, Brother and sister in law David and Roddie Mazurik of Marblehead, Half-Sister Kathy Fick of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by parents and half-brother Joseph. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio where Panahida Services will be held at 7pm. On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, the Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 am at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, 114 E. Main Street, Marblehead with Father Andrew Bartek officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Assumption Orthodox Cemetery in Marblehead. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
