Mercedes H. Morgan

Mercedes H. Morgan, 94, of Stow, OH and formerly of Port Clinton, died Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 2, 1911 in Oak Harbor, the daughter of Clarence and Estella (Floro) Cluckey. She was retired from the Erie Ordinance Depot and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Mrs. Morgan was on avid Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan. In earlier years, she enjoyed fishing and traveling. She also enjoyed her family, reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Surviving are her daughters, Maxine Boling of Port Clinton, and Colleen (Russell) Griesmer of Stow; Stepson, Warren (Thecla) Morgan of Port Clinton; grandchildren Patricia Elsholz, Cathy (Lucky Brookhart) Dawson, Jeffrey (Carol) Morgan, Richard (Mary) Morgan, Nikki (Donald) Matthews, Barbara (Donald) Baker, Timothy (Ruthann) Boling, Kelly (Kari) Boling, Michael (Donna) Griesmer, David (Pati) Griesmer, Lisa (Chris) Schroeder and Daniel Griesmer; great-grandchildren Michael Baker, Jeffrey Baker, Melissa Bubb, Amanda Boling, Morgan Boling, Joseph Griesmer, Dana Griesmer, Collin Schroeder, Morgan Schroeder, Jacob Schroeder, Eric Elsholz, Scott Elsholz Kristen Elsholz, Marissa Morgan, Zachary Morgan, Alexandra Johnson, Sara Morgan and Emma Morgan; Great-greatgrandchildren, Mackenzie, Kertis, Dylan, Gabrielle, Madison, Taylor and Kailee; and nieces, Darlene Vandergiessen of Port Clinton and Raedel Bowman of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval C. Morgan on December 11, 1974, her parents, brothers Floyd and Bertell Cluckey, son-in-law James Boling and nieces, Gaile Schiller and Marsha Finke. Friends may call from 2-9 P.M. Thursday at the Neidecker, LeVeck, & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lisa Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ida Rupp Public Library or Peace Lutheran Church.
