Melvin W. Reif, 95 of Graytown, OH died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at his home under Hospice Care. Melvin was born September 29, 1926 in Elliston, OH to the late William and Minnie (Ninke) Reif. He was a 1945 graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School. On August 23, 1952 he married Norma Klickman at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, OH. Melvin was truly a man who loved and walked with God. He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, where he belonged to the former Men’s Fellowship, Sunday School class, and was a past Trustee of the Church. He was also a lifelong farmer and was a school bus driver for 32 years for the BCS Schools. He supported the school where he videoed sports games for years. Melvin certainly enjoyed his family; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking, giving away many items like crosses by the many hundreds. He also held memberships in S.C.R.A.P., Farm Bureau Council, and NFU. He treasured his Minneapolis Moline tractor collection, playing cards, an in the 60’s he and his wife were charter members of the Buckeye Squares Western Dance Club. Survivors include his wife of 69 years Norma of Graytown; sons: Daniel Reif of Port Clinton, OH, Thomas (Kim) Reif of Clayton, MI, and William (Luann) Reif of Graytown; 5 grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother Willis Reif, sister Janet Buhrow, and grandson Benjamin Reif. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral Services will begin at 10am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Trinity United Church of Christ with the family to receive friends beginning at 9am, Elliston with Pastor Ryan Shields officiating. Burial will be in Elliston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given to Trinity United Church of Christ.
