Maynard Phillabaum, 74, Port Clinton, Ohio, died Sunday March 4, 2012 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan after a brief illness. He was born August 5, 1937, in Fremont Ohio. He attended Port Clinton High and Terra Technical College. He worked at Standard Products for many years as a production supervisor for a variety of departments as well as Kelsey Hayes in the same capacity. Maynard retired in 1996. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Francis Phillabaum of Port Clinton. He is survived by his five children: daughters; Jamie Seabrecht of Marblehead, Vee Mossburg of Harbor Springs, Michigan, Dee Heinze of Canton, Michigan and Leah Phillabaum of Ferndale, Michigan; and son: John Phillabaum of Chicago, Illinois. Maynard also has four grand children, and a brother, Gary (Barb) Phillabaum of Port Clinton. Visitation will be from 10 11 am Saturday, March 17th at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Memorial service will follow visitation at 11 am. A private graveside service will follow. Memorials if desired, may be made in Maynard's name to Immaculate Conception School Fund, Ottawa County Humane Society or American Cancer Society of Ottawa County.
