Mary M. Booher

Mary M. Booher, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on December 28, 1921 in Scott County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Dewitt and Sarah (Haven) McMurray. She married Elbert Booher in 1940 and he preceded her in death in July 1998. During her working career, Mary worked in the dietary department at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton for 28 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Eugene (Faye) Booher, Raceland, Louisiana; William "Pete" (JoEllen) Booher, Oak Harbor, Ohio; Helen Below, Port Clinton; Fred (JoEllen) Booher, Lebanon, Ohio; Jerry Booher, Mt. Gilead, Ohio; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: an infant daughter; son-in-law: Robert D. Below; sister: Stella McMurray; and brothers: Carlos, Marshall, Joe and William McMurray. Visitation and funeral services will be private.
