Mary Lou (Ebert) Sarnes Fink

December 31, 1930 — December 26, 2021

Mary passed peacefully in her sleep at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor December 26, 2021, just shy of her 91st Birthday (December 31, 1930). She was born in Toledo, OH and lived the majority of her early years in Clyde and Norwalk, OH. During her marriage to Will (Jack) Sarnes, she lived with her family primarily in Oak Harbor, OH and later in St Robert, MO where she later met and married Edward Fink. Ed and Mary relocated to Milford, CT and later returned to Oak Harbor where she raised her Granddaughters, Lisa and Renee Sarnes. She became a Girl Scout Leader and was known by the girls simply as “Grandma”. She was a member of the Calvary Bible Chapel East where her nephew, Dan Bostater, is the Pastor. Mary was the daughter of the late Charles G Ebert and Golda (Bonam) Ebert and was predeceased by each of her siblings; Robert Ebert, Helen (Hoyt), Margaret Winifred (Winnie Hart), Olive (Lolly Silcox), Bud Riegel, Donald Ebert, Doris (Jurrus), Betty (Von Seggern), husband Edward, and sons Alan, Roger and Ricky. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Sarnes of Chester, VT, Grandchildren Lisa Bonner (Melvin), Renee Price (Shane), Jason Tevlin (Lindsay), Great Granddaughters, Amber Dewitz and Kelli Spurlin, and Great-Great Grandson, Colton Dewitz. Mary was the last surviving sibling in her family, and last surviving in-law in both Jack and Ed’s families. Watching Disney and John Wayne movies with her late husband, Ed, crocheting, gardening, good mysteries, feeding birds in the backyard, and playing games with her friends and family were her favorite pastimes. There will be no immediate services for Mary as her body was donated to the University of Toledo Medical Center. Memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to Calvary Bible Chapel East or Riverview HealthCare. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesmanfuneralhome.com.
