Mary Kathryn Mehlow

Mary Kathryn Mehlow, 94 of Oak Harbor, OH died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. She was born June 8, 1928 in Toledo, OH to the late Mearl and Ruth (Reineck) Richard. She was a 1946 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and 1950 graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing. On January 5, 1952 she married Thomas A. Mehlow and he preceded her in death June 6, 2015. Mary was a Registered Nurse and worked for St. Vincent- Mercy Hospital, Magruder Hospital, and Edgewood Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor.

Survivors include her children: Kaye A. (Robert) Lipstraw, Randall T. Mehlow, Karla J. Mehlow, Kristin L. Mehlow, and Kerry E. (Russell) Adkins; 6 grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren. Mary was also preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Mehlow, sister Ruth Ann Bowser, and infant brother Robert Richard.

Private family graveside services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or Stein Hospice.
