Mary Jane "Janie" Schultz

Mary Jane "Janie" Schultz, 72, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her home. She was born June 10, 1940 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Floyd & Mary (Rollheiser) Beekman. On August 12, 1985, she married Reginald K. "Reggie" Schultz who preceded her in death on April 23, 2011. Janie was an LPN working for the former Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio and retired from the former Ottawa County Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor. She was raised in and belonged to St. Boniface Catholic Church but was recently attending St. Paul United Church of Christ, both in Oak Harbor. Janie was an avid card player and loved going to the casinos. A loving mother, she loved to give advice. Survivors include her children: Richard (Sandi) Burbach, Bruce Burbach, Jeff Burbach, and Laurie Pollard all of Oak Harbor, and Joanie Burbach of Attica, OH, Penny (Craig) Brossia of Northwood, OH; step-daughter Vicki Wadsworth of Port Clinton, OH; 4 sisters; and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 P.M. at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 8, 2013. Rev. David A. Voll will officiate, and interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or Stein Hospice.
