Mary Jane "Janie" (Laing) Beaty, 88 of Elmore, OH and formerly of St. Cloud, FL and East Toledo, OH, was called home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 19, 2012 at her home. Janie was born May 28, 1923 in Rossford, OH to the late James and Gladys (Davenport) Laing. On December 2, 1949 she married Cecil Beaty who preceded her in death October 5, 2005. She was a member of Grace Evangelical United Methodist Church in Perrysburg, OH. Janie was also a 20-year member of the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club, Chapter One Teen Town, and enjoyed silver smithing, making jewelry and gardening. Survivors include her sons: James Beaty of Toledo, Jack Beaty of Toledo, and Jerry Beaty of Elmore; daughters Ruth Ann (Michael) Frankhouse of Elmore and Marie Campos of Napoleon, OH; sisters: Ruth Godfrey of Toledo and Carol Ann (William) Melvin of Perrysburg, OH; 9 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Edward and Malcolm Laing. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 5-8 PM Friday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. S.R. 51, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2012. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserfuneralhome.com.
