Mary F. Goebel

Mary K. Goebel, 88, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1929 in Monroe, MI the daughter of Sam and Paulene (Marino) Morelli. She married Duane L. Goebel on Nov. 7, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2015. Mrs. Goebel graduated as a RN in 1950. She worked as a RN at Monroe Mercy, Blodgett Memorial in Grand Rapids and Toledo State Hospital. She retired as the program director for Monclova Care Center in 1984. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. Surviving are her daughter: Barbara (Timothy) Kelly of Milan, Mi; grandchildren: Shannon Hartman, Jennifer Olszowy, Sam Kelly; great-grandchildren: Natalie, Hunter and Calvin. She was preceded in death by her husband: Duane; daughter: Angela Hartman and sister Esther Iott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Brown 10:30 am Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH where the body will lie in state Thursday morning from 9:30 10:30 am. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. LakesideMarblehead, OH.
