Mary Anne Flick

Mary Anne Flick, 72 of Elmore, Ohio, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio from complications related to cancer. In hospice care for the last three months prior to her death, Mary died peacefully, surrounded by family. She leaves daughter Beth Oakes and husband Kevin, daughter Denise Cargo and husband Andy, son Mark and wife Whitney, daughter Melanie Melfi and husband Mark; grandchildren Erika and Evan Oakes, Erin Lindblad, William and Samuel Cargo, Kiersten Flick and Hannah and Caden Melfi; and great grandchildren Anderson and Preston Lindblad. She also leaves behind brother Gary Kroeger and wife Doris, brother Robert Kroeger and sister Barb Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Helen (Witte) Kroeger and sister Shirley Nowicki. Born October 6, 1944, in Oregon, Ohio, Mary lived and worked in Elmore her entire life. On August 17, 1963, she married Dennis Flick; they recently divorced. For 30 years, Mary Anne worked as an insurance agent for the Brandow Insurance Company, Elmore. Long known for her positive outlook on life, her sense of humor, and her mad Scrabble skills, Mary loved the sunshine, her flower gardens and everything Elvis. She enjoyed good meals with her extended family and friends and spent every second she could supporting her grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6-8 pm and again Friday, Oct . 28 from 9 am -7 pm with the family present from 1-7 pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Service will begin at 10 am Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Immediately following the service will be a celebration of life luncheon at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens in Elmore.
