Mary Alyce (Gleckler) Dietz, 83 of Elmore, OH died suddenly, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1937 in Elmore, OH to the late Rollin and Verta (Heinman) Gleckler. She was a graduate of Elmore High School, and attended Anderson University in Anderson, IN. Mary worked as a cashier for Kroger’s and Johnny’s Grocery in Elmore. She enjoyed working in her garden and doing genealogy before going blind. Mary had a strong faith. She helped build the Elmore Church of God where she was a member for many years. She then converted to Catholicism where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH. She enjoyed going to Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, OH and attending Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes. Survivors include her twin daughters: Debby (Michael) Streeter of Swanton, OH and Rebecca Dietz of Elmore, OH; granddaughter Jennifer Streeter, great- granddaughter Julianna Streeter; and Clarence “Shorty” (Fern) Dietz of Gibsonburg, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Paul Dietz, and sisters Iva Opfer and Norma Haddad. A Memorial Service will be held on May 22, 2021 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH. Interment will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
