Marvin J. Hudak

Marvin J. Hudak, 71, of Port Clinton, OH, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 1, 1935 in Marblehead, OH, a son of Joseph and Theresa (Ontko) Hudak. Marv started his career at the age of 10 with Griesser’s in Marblehead and at the age of 22 he went to work at the Marblehead Quarry. In 1966 he joined the staff of Uniroyal where he was employed until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton Knights of Columbus Chapter 1750, Colonial Club, Port Clinton Elk’s Lodge 1718 and the Port Clinton Yacht Club. Surviving is his son, Mark Marvin Hudak of Port Clinton; daughter, Sheryl (Greg) Weimann of Crofton, Maryland; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Eric Weimann; sister, Charlotte (Neil) Shrock of Marblehead; sister-in-law, Joan Hudak of Catawba Island; brothers, Ron (Paula) Hudak of Port Clinton, and Joe (Pam) Hudak of Marblehead; seven nieces, five nephews, one great niece and six great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Paulsen and brothers, Norman and Daniel Hudak. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Sunday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Raymond Ensman at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church where Mr. Hudak will lie in state from 10:30 Monday until the time of the Mass. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Monday in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
