Marvin E. Gorden, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on March 29, 1932 in Vanlue, Ohio, the son of John and Lulu (Judson) Gorden. Marvin moved to Port Clinton in 1950 and went to work as a packer at U.S. Gypsum where he retired after 41 years in 1991. He also tended bar at the former Urb's Bar in Port Clinton. Survivors include his best friend and companion, Frank Travillian, Port Clinton; nieces, Terrie (John) Nacke, Lexington, Ohio, Patricia (Gary) Hittle, Celina, Ohio, Nita Small, Tennessee; and nephew, Garry (Bonnie) Beerline, Lima, Ohio, as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Gorden; and sisters, Mildred, Hattie, Elizabeth, Frances, and Rose Gorden. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 9-10am at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio.
