Martha L. Long

Martha L. Long, 83, lifetime resident of Elmore, OH died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, OH. She was born February 23, 1925 in Elmore to the late Robert H. and Flossy M. (Durdel) Crozier. She was a 1943 graduate of Harris- Elmore High School. On September 27, 1947 she married Robert M. Long who preceded her in death on April 5, 1990. Martha was a homemaker who was active in the Elmore American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Elmore's Civic Mother's Club. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. She loved to play cards and participated in the local pinochle club for years. Survivors include her daughters: Karen (Scott) Heslup of Perrysburg, OH, Kay Long of Elmore; sister Bonnie Shipley of Canton, OH and grandson Jeremy Heslup. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Donald Crozier, and sister Phyllis Nutter. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9pm with the family present 2-5 & 7-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Friday, April 18, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
