Martha Fizer

Martha E. Fizer, 68, of Oak Harbor, Ohio died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born on September 6, 1940 in Toledo, a daughter of the late Paul & Mary Steadman. She married Ivan Fizer on November 30, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1998. Mrs. Fizer retired from Dana Corporation where she was a secretary. She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Oregon, Ohio. Surviving is her son, Paul G. Fizer, Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Nicole, Samantha, Katreena, and Cassandra; sister, Mary (Doug) Hornyak of Millbury, Ohio; niece, Brenda (Dennis) Monhollen; nephews, Doug Hornyak, Jr., and Adam Fizer; mother-in-law, Ruth (Eddie) Thomas of Toledo; brothers-in-law, Jim (Cindy) Fizer of Toledo and Paul Fizer of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, and her daughter, Annie L. Fizer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
