Mark W. Mathys

Mark William Mathys, 62 of Elwood, Indiana passed away suddenly on October 28th, 2023.

A successful entrepreneur, he owned and operated many businesses at Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Forever changing its tourism industry with his relentless work ethic and innovative thinking. An avid racing fan all his life, he enjoyed perfecting his craft behind the wheel frequently claiming his place on the podium.

He is preceded in death by his father William Fredrick Mathys. Survived by his wife Linda, mother Joyce Ann Mathys, Sister Beth (Rick) Griner, Brother Brad Mathys, Daughters Kendra Mathys, Kecia (Justin) Frye, Sofia Mathys and Grandchildren Sophia Warren, Xavier Frye.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
