Mark W. Lipstraw

Mark W. Lipstraw, 49 of Oak Harbor, OH died suddenly Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, OH. He was born August 3, 1963 in Toledo, OH to Richard and Shirley (LaFountain) Lipstraw. He was a 1981 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On December 21, 1985 he married the former Paulette (Tippey) Brooks and she survives. Mark was employed by Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg, OH as a stock room attendant where he had worked for over 20 years. He was a member of Buckmasters International and St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars and just being outdoors. Mark's favorite brother- in- law, Buck Tippey, gave Mark the nickname of "Drippy". He also enjoyed watching Oak Harbor sporting events especially watching his sons compete in football and wrestling. He was an avid Ohio State fan and you could find any number of OSU memorabilia around the house. Survivors include his wife Paulette of Oak Harbor; sons Joshua (Jamie Wright) Lipstraw of Bloomville, OH and Jake (Samantha) Lipstraw of Oak Harbor; parents Richard and Shirley Lipstraw of Limestone, OH; brothers: Allen (Lorie) Lipstraw of Rocky Ridge, Gary (Crystal) Lipstraw of Oak Harbor, and Scott Lipstraw of Limestone; step-daughter Barbara (Dennis) Mazur of Millbury, OH; step- son Jamie Brooks of Martin, OH; step- grandchildren Zachary and Kayla Mazur; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a charity to be named at a later date.
