Mark M. Plotnick, 70, of Marblehead, OH, died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH, following a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in 1935 in Stamford, Connecticut, Mr. Plotnick’s distinguished 42-year career in the bowling industry included sales and management positions with AMF, including as President of the company’s international division. In 1986 he started Plotnick Associates Capital Equipment (PACE), serving as CEO of the business until he retired in 2000. Mr. Plotnick earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont, where he met his wife of 47 years, Lucille. He has lived in Framingham, Mass, Long Island, NY; and Lexington, Ohio, and his active community involvement included the Lexington Board of Education, Lexington Music Boosters and Miss Ohio Scholarship Program. An avid golfer, fisherman and sports fan, he enjoyed vacations in Fort Myers, Fla. and Kennebunkport, ME. He is survived by his wife Lucille; two children Kristi (Jay) Harper of Mentor, OH and Mike of St. Louis, MO; and two grandchildren Kevin and Allison Harper.
