Mark L. Kleinhans, 67, of Fremont, OH, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Fremont on February 9, 1948, a son of Kenneth E. & Mildred M. (Rauch) Kleinhans. Mark was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a retired employee of Toledo Edison, where he worked as a meter reader for 22 years. Prior to that, he was one of the original members of the security force at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, where he worked for 12 years. Mark was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Fremont, and enjoyed hunting and camping. On June 26, 1971, Mark married the former Laurann T. Widman, and she survives. Also surviving are their children, Laura L. (Dave Hoffman) Kleinhans, and Andrew M. (Kelly Warner) Kleinhans, both of Fremont; granddaughters, Taylor A. Kleinhans, Alyssa L. Kleinhans, Haley L. Hoffman, and Addison M. Kleinhans; siblings, Shirley (Jim) Hasselbach, Oak Harbor, Karen (Jim) Stutz, Statesville, NC, Vernell (Pam) Kleinhans, Oak Harbor, Sandra (Gary) Molnar, Shiloh, OH, Vicki (Fred) Geldien, Port Clinton, and Crystal (Bob) Paulsen, Oak Harbor. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Randy Kleinhans, and an infant sister, Mildred Kleinhans. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1021 W. State St., Fremont, with the Rev. Mike Zacharias, celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fremont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Stein Hospice, or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
