Mark Schroder, 64, resident of Elmore, OH passed away unexpectedly on Monday June
5, 2023. Mark was born on January 22, 1959 to Martin and Judith Schroder in Toledo,
OH.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mark lived life to the fullest and had a big
heart. Every chance he got, he spent time with his children and grandchildren. If he was
in the neighborhood, he was popping in to visit. He was known for his infectious smile
and his ability to make people laugh. He was someone you could count on to show up
for you when needed him and never expected anything in return.
The open road was always Mark’s passion. He was a truck driver for many years, and
had recently retired. He filled his time cruising in his two show cars, which were his
pride and joy. He was a member of a local car club “Frog Town Cruisers” and loved
everything about being a part of that group. It was his escape from day to day life, and
boy did he love a loud engine or burn out.
Mark was a larger-than-life character who will forever be remembered for his car
themed shirts, fedora hats, love for action movies and boisterous laugh.
Mark is preceded in death by parents Martin and Judith Schroder; devoted husband of
Carol Schroder; loving father of Angela (Brian), Mindy (Matt), Cody (Alison), Julie, and
Ben (Lindsay); caring grandfather of Brendan (Brittany), Alyssa, Jase, Anthony, Marcus,
Liberty, Brayden, Madison and one on the way; dear brother to Shelly (David), Todd
(Sharon), and Marcy. Also included are his seven dogs…known as his fur-babies.
Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Mark are invited to join and
honor his memory with a time of sharing beginning at 11am with a celebration of life
service to follow at 1pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral
Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR 51. Burial will follow
in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to: Knock out
Parkinson’s Disease at the International Boxing Cub, (KOPD at the International Boxing
